Takalah Tan - Speaker, former tri-athelete
A Commando Officer during National Service, Takalah secured a coveted role in a global MNC, beating 7000 others. However, a week before he was to start his promising career, fate took a nasty turn and he had a motorcycle accident.
The accident broke his right leg, dislocated his left shoulder, blinded his left eye, tore away his left-nose, broke his skull (liquid around his brain leaked dry), had blood clots in his brain and more.
The accident shattered his facial bone and defaced him. He lost a-third of his blood. He lost half of his brain data-storage capacity and his entire memories.
Just when he was at the prime of his life, Takalah plunged into the darkest abyss of hopelessness.
Takalah has given talks at Great Eastern Insurance, Medical Forum, Raffles Institution, Chinese High, Presbyterian High School
